Yusuf Wadee (Co-Vice Chairperson)
Mr Wadee joined Wadee and Wadee Attorneys in 2013 and is currently a partner there. Mr Wadee currently heads the Litigation department and has been heading the commercial and litigation department and has extensive experience in the following areas: Personal injury law, Commercial law, Administrative Law, Sports Law, Commercial Contracts, Road Accident Fund Litigation, Third party claims, Matrimonial and family law, Property Litigation, High Court Litigation, Magistrates Court Litigation, Appearances in both Magistrate and High Courts, and acts as an independent Trustee to various Trusts.
Mr Wadee has been admitted as a practicing attorney since 2001 and has a B.Proc (5 Distinctions), and an LLB Degree, which have been obtained at the University of South Africa.
On completion of his B.Proc he attended the School for Practical Legal Training, which was held by the Law Society and achieved 6 Distinctions and various Certificates including a certificate for Top Student (The Potch award).
In addition he obtained certificates in Toastmasters International; a certificate in “Success Leadership Programme; and a course in Conveyancing. These courses were held by the Law Society Of South Africa.
Mr Wadee is a member of the National Association of Democratic Lawyers since 2008, and has served as executive member, Secretary, Vice Chairman, and Chairman of the Johannesburg branch.
He is also a member of the Johannesburg Attorneys Association, and has served previously as an executive member, vice chair and chairperson of the JAA. At present he is serving as an executive member of the JAA.
Mr Wadee also assisted with the establishment of the Soweto Legal Fraternity in 2017, when practitioners who practice out of the Protea Magistrates Court formed an association to assist its members.
Mr Wadee currently serves as co-vice chairperson of the Gauteng Attorneys Association and has been an executive of the GAA.
